Carving Time

We laid down the newspaper, got out the knives and carved some pumpkins this evening. Oh yes, and the boys had to put on gardening gloves because pumpkins are cold, squishy, and slimy once you get inside.

Joey carved his own pumpkin this year. He carved an "i" as one of the eyes and added an "h" just to the left (so it almost looks like an ear). Tim provided detailed instructions that changed the whole time (no eyebrows . . . yes I want eyebrows . . . no I guess I don't . . wait . . ). After Joey was done, Tim carved a second face onto the back of his pumpkin - with a mustache. He was thrilled when it glowed with the candle.

Tim really wanted to try pumpkins seeds so we kept some out and roasted them later. He still hasn't tried them. He decided he thought of it so Holly and I could try them.
