Doggy Tap Dancing

Getting ready for work this morning and the dog tapped by.  Like most dogs, normally she walks by, but this time there was a tap.

Somehow, she wedged half a walnut shell onto her back paw.  It didn't bother her at all.  She was more confused about having to lie still while I took a picture.

Spring Break's Over (Sigh)

The boys (Steve included) were on spring break last week.  Joe and Tim started out the break hanging out with the Grandparents Denniston.  Upon their return, Steve went to Astoria to write for a few days while the boys and I hung around.  We checked out the North Clackamas Aquatic Park and after that experience of spring break chaos, stayed in our PJs until noon.

When Steve got home, we made a trip to Ikea for more bookshelves (Tim's on the right and Joe and Tim building Joe's below).  

While I was at work, Steve and the boys went to Ground Kontrol, watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail, read (a lot), played video games, battled evil in the backyard with their swords, spent the night with the Grandparents Bullock, went to OMSI with Isaac, Leo and Jennifer, and hung out with friends.

My highlight (other than hanging out with friends after work) was getting the cold weather veggies planted, pulling up part of the ivy in the front and finally getting my ferns planted!

The Perfect Throw

The boys and I (Steve) got our mitts out for Spring Break and were playing catch out front. I was throwing to each of them so they were standing kind of close, but not too close.

I threw, Joe missed the ball, it hit his foot, bounced over and nailed Tim in the leg. They rolled around in the grass complaining while I laughed and told them it's called a two for one special. They told me it's called bad parenting.

Leprechaun Troubles

As usual, we had the typical Leprechaun problems this year - milk was turned green, some streamers hung up, messes here and there.  Tim set up a trap, but then felt a little guilty about trying to trap them and left an apology up by his shoes where gifts are usually left.


In addition to leaving gifts, the leprechauns found our video camera and left us a little video too.  One of them roaming around the house checking things out.  We edited it down a little bit, so for your viewing pleasure, here is a leprechaun checking out our house.

St. Patrick's Preperaton

Joe marched in a (rainy) St. Patrick's Day parade over the weekend with the Sellwood Band.  His main comment-It was cold!

Happy Pi Day

We celebrated Pi day with Shepherd's Pie for dinner (made by Steve) and Peanut Butter Pie for dessert (made by Holly).  The Peanut Butter Pie is pictured before the chocolate was drizzled on top.  Those not familiar with Pi day can read up on Wikipedia, and then buy this cool shirt for next year.

Drama Club

Tim performed in his school's play, The Comic Book Hero.  He played one of three Minutos, the minions of the evil Dr. Schock Clock.

The play was a lot of fun, Tim is an excellent minion (Joe could have told us that) and we're very proud of how well he did.
