Tricks and Treats

In the afternoon we went to West Moreland's Monster March Parade.  Joe marched with the Sellwood Band leading the parade and Tim walked it by himself (he insisted).

Later we had the traditional Halloween Pizza dinner and went Trick-or-Treating with Sidra, Auntie and Uncle.  Joe tagged along for a little bit and then came back, sat in a chair outside (in costume) waiting for older kids to come along so he could scare them.  He was forbidden from scarring the little kiddos.  He did a good job of being nice to the little kids and gave a couple of the olders a good reason to scream.

Tim was Dumbledore this year, Joe didn't really have a costume (black clothes) and Sidra was a Honey Bee.

Ready for Halloween

 We carved our pumpkins tonight, except for Joe who watched the World Series (Go Giants!!).  Tim drew his bat on a piece of paper, Steve helped transfer it to the pumpkin and Tim did the rest.  And thanks to the Grandparents Bullock for bringing extras from their own pumpkin patch.

Mallot Swingin' Fun

Joe joined the marimba band this term and they performed at the Farmer's Market in Sellwood.  They played six songs (a few of them twice) and then loaded everything up in a van to take back to school.  We get the full concert in mid December.

Lebowski Time

Grace and Jacob visited for the day so we wanted something extra fun to do.  The plan was, go to the zoo.  It kept raining so we finally gave up and went bowling instead.  Of course, when we finished and walked back outside it had stopped raining.

We went to a new bowling alley, Joe had been there for a party once and said it was good.  He was right.  They had balls, pins, and most important, bumpers on the lanes.  They also had a little ramp that Jacob liked: aim, push and watch.

Leftovers

Here are some pictures we never quite got around to posting this summer. 

I know, the dog is a little bit blurry.  She looks just as goofy in focus.  Batsy is on the camping mattress Tim used for much of the summer.  We put the tent up in the backyard and he had a great time camping out.  He was very disappointed when school started and we wouldn't let him sleep in it.

Joe got new glasses recently, but we don't have a picture of them yet.  We did get a picture of his eyes after they were dilated.

His new prescription is significantly different and he isn't quite used to the new glasses yet.  Everything looks better, but kind of pops out at him too.  He picked out a great pair, we'll get a new picture of him up soon.
