Happy Thanksgivinged

 We had a good day yesterday with our families coming to our house for Thanksgiving.  I (Steve) cooked the turkey using an apple brine it soaked in for a day or so.  I know, the picture makes it look a little overdone in places, but it turned out perfect. 

The Grandparents Denniston and Bullock were here, as well as Aunt Linda (whose car was rear ended the day before, with her in it, she's all right) and Jon.  All the other usual suspects were traveling to other places.

Today Holly and the boys put up the Christmas lights.  Joe didn't mind the ladder, but Tim gave it a shot and declared ground level was good enough for him.

Special Effects in the Back Yard

We did a couple rounds of time lapse photography with the lightsabers tonight.  Joe and Tim had one lightsaber each and ran around the yard for the fifteen second exposure.  One of the lightsabers has "crystals" that change the color.  We experimented with that to see how the different colors looked on the camera.

Out with the old . . .

We took pity on the boys in their upstairs bedrooms and had the attic insulated in time for winter.  First we had to get rid of some odds and ends (garbage) the previous owners left.  We added some junk from the garage and our neighbor helped top off the drop box.

After that was all done we got new insulation, another attic fan, and Styrofoam blocking!!!!  It's all right, we know it isn't that exciting.  But at least the boys will be a little warmer this winter.
