We have officially begun transitioning to high school and middle school. Joe will be going to Cleveland High School High School in the fall and Tim will go to Sellwood Middle School.
Holly and Joe went to the open house at Cleveland a couple of weeks ago and had fun seeing old friends and exploring all of the possibilities that a school of this size offers (an international baccalaureate program and music to dragon boat racing, great science classes and advanced math).
Tim's open house at Sellwood last week. Joe was supposed to play with the advanced band and marimba band, but he was home sick (strep throat, ugh). We toured the building and it was fun to see the 6th grade teachers make the family connection (the red hair gives it away). The teachers are excited that Joe's brother will be with them next year. We're looking forward to experiencing Sellwood through Tim's eyes and the many opportunities for him. He's already talking about trying out for jazz band and the advanced band.
Oh my, my grandsons are growing up too fast! But how exciting for all the new opportunities. Fun days are ahead for sure.
