We had a good day yesterday with our families coming to our house for Thanksgiving. I (Steve) cooked the turkey using an apple brine it soaked in for a day or so. I know, the picture makes it look a little overdone in places, but it turned out perfect. The Grandparents Denniston and Bullock were here, as well as Aunt Linda (whose car was rear ended the day before, with her in it, she's all right) and Jon. All the other usual suspects were traveling to other places.
Today Holly and the boys put up the Christmas lights. Joe didn't mind the ladder, but Tim gave it a shot and declared ground level was good enough for him.
I'm with you Tim - I want my feet on the ground, not up on a ladder. Good for you Joe, on getting the lights on.
ReplyDeleteAnd let me vouch for the brined turkey. It was the most flavorful, tender, moist turkey I've ever eaten. It was absolute perfection!
