We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year and had fifteen people around the table. OK, tables, we put three of them together to make enough room.For cooking the turkey we chose something in between the Joy of Cooking recipe which was very simple, and a New York Times recipe, which was unnecessarily complex. We brined the turkey overnight (tip: use something big enough to put the turkey in that DOES NOT leak). And flipped it halfway through cooking, which we'd never done before (tip: put plastic bags over the oven mitts to flip the turkey, but be careful, it's slippery.)
The food was DELICIOUS, the company was fantastic, and this table was a feast for the eyes even before we sat down to eat. What a wonderful Thanksgiving this was in your new home.

That sounds like a wonderful holiday! (I had to brine a turkey once in the trunk of a car because I didn't think to check and see if my big canning kettle fit in the refrigerator.) Lucky for cold Midwestern Thanksgivings.
